# Data used in AQA on a Unified Grid.

All the data in the US/CAN AQA was from multipled modeling projects. The projects
include modeling for the Revised CSAPR Update (RCU), the Regional Haze Rule (RHR)
and the Policy Assessment (PA). The RCU and RHR used the CAMx model and the PA
used CMAQ. Each used a different subset of photochemical modeling projected grids.
The projected grids include:

* 12US2    : 12km Lambert Conic Conformal covering the continental US (RCU, RHR, PA)
* 36US3    : 36km Lambert Conic Conformal covering most of North America (RHR, PA)
* 108NHEMI2: 108km Polar Stereographic covering the northern hemisphere (PA)

All of this data has been sampled on a common 2.5 minute domain that allows for
comparison with the Gridded World Population version 4 (GPWv4).

## Annotated Directory Structure

Each file in this directory is listed below and followed by a description.
The file name itelf is descriptive. The file name includes simulation
attributes:

* model: CMAQ or CAMx,
* simulation year: 2016, 2023, or 2028
* emission iteration: fe, ff, fg, fh1
* the target species or technology
    * o3 or O3: ozone
    * pm or PM: fine particulate matter
    * apca: ozone source apportionment technology with anthropogenic culpability
    * psat: partical source apportionmetn technology
    * depn: deposition of nitrogen
    * depredn: deposition of reduced nitrogen
    * depoxn: deposition of oxidized nitrogen
    * deps: deposition of sulfur
* temporal resolution: aggregated daily or monthly analysis

The project can be diagnosed from these descriptors:

* RCU: CAMx with apca and 2016fh1, 2023fh1, and 2028fh1
* RHR: CAMx with psat and 2016fg and 2028fg
* PA:  CMAQ with 2016fe
