2001emis README This readme describes the emissions inventory SMOKE inputs for the modeling of the Version 2 of the 2001-year modeling as part of the Final PM NAAQS platform and the Ozone NAAQS Proposal platform. Zipped files described here: 2001CAIR_bg_1_072104.zip: Biogenic data (year-2000 spinup, and 2001 q1) 2001CAIR_bg_2_072104.zip: Biogenic data (2001 q2) 2001CAIR_bg_3_072104.zip: Biogenic data (2001 q3) 2001CAIR_bg_4_072104.zip: Biogenic data (2001 q4) 2001_2001v2CAP_ida_nonpoint.zip: Stationary area emissions data 2001_2001v2CAP_ida_nonroad.zip: Nonroad mobile emissions data 2001_2001v2CAP_ida_onroad.zip: Onroad mobile emissions data 2001_2001v2CAP_ida_point.zip: Point emissions data EPA has split the 2001 emissions inventory into several source sectors for use in emissions modeling as follows: IPM sector (ptipm): Point-source facilities that were matched to facilities in the NEEDS 2003 database. Hourly emissions data is included for a 2001-year model simulation performed for the purpose of model performance evaluation only. Daily emissions data are provided for regulatory modeling in 2001 and all future base and control model runs. Daily non-CEM (continuous emissions monitor) are provided for non-matching IPM emissions for both model evaluation and regulatory modeling runs. Non-IPM sector(ptnonipm): All point sources not in either the IPM sector nor in the "point fugitive dust" sector, and including Canadian and Mexican point-source emissions. Do to the proprietary nature of the Canadian point source inventory, we are unable to provide it here. Please contact David Niemi at Environment Canada for information on this inventory: http://www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/net/canada.html#data Point fugitive dust sector (pfdust): Point sources with source category codes (SCCs) in the list at http://www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/emch/invent/tf_scc_list2002nei_v2.xls Fire sector (fire): Wildfires, prescribed burning fires, agricultural fires, and open burning (area sources). Included in a 2001-year model simulation performed for the purpose of model performance evaluation only Average-fire sector (avefire): Average-year wildfire and prescribed burning calculated from 1996-2002 acres burned data, used for the 2001 base year and all future base and control model runs. Agricultural sector (ag): 2002 NH3 emissions from livestock and fertilizer application Area fugitive dust sector (afdust): Stationary area sources with SCCs in the list at http://www.epa.gov/ttn/chief/emch/invent/tf_scc_list2002nei_v2.xls ** Note, this file was updated in February 2007 -after the modeling was complete on this 2001-based platform. The SCCs in this Excel sheet with a flag (column C) equal to "New SCC subject to TF" did NOT receive transport fractions for fugitive dust in the inventories we provide here. Other area sector (oarea): Nonpoint (stationary area) sources not in the fire, ag, or afdust sectors and including Canadian and Mexican nonpoint (area) and mobile emissions (includes Mexican on-road vehicle refueling emissions; excludes Canadian and Mexican fire emissions). Nonroad: Nonroad mobile sources from the NONROAD 2004 model via the National Mobile Inventory Model (NMIM) and from commercial marine, airports, and locomotives. Also includes Canadian data. On-road: On-road mobile sources from the MOBILE6 model via NMIM (not including refueling emissions). Also includes Canadian data. Biogenic: Hour-specific emissions from the BEIS3.12 model (includes emissions in Canada and Mexico) ############################################################################## ###### BIOGENICS ############################################################# 2001CAIR_bg_1_072104.zip ================================= cmaq_biogenics: b3gts_l.20010101.90.rpo_grid2.01ac_01ac.ncf: gridded, hourly, model-species biogenic emissions for 1st quarter of 2001 b3gts_l_o.b3_12.2000.36km.cmaq_cb4.ncf: 10 files for the 2000 start-up period for = 356, 357, 358, 359, 360, 361, 362, 363, 364, and 365 inventory/2001/beld3: LANDA_36km.us36b.ncf: BELD3 landuse fractions (for BEIS3) for EPA 36-km grid, part A LANDB_36km.us36b.ncf: BELD3 landuse fractions (for BEIS3) for EPA 36-km grid, part B LAND_TOTALS_36km.us36b.ncf: BELD3 landuse totals 2001CAIR_bg_2_072104.zip ================================= b3gts_l.20010401.91.rpo_grid2.01ac_01ac.ncf: gridded, hourly, model-species biogenic emissions for 2nd quarter of 2001 2001CAIR_bg_3_072104.zip ================================= b3gts_l.20010701.92.rpo_grid2.01ac_01ac.ncf: gridded, hourly, model-species biogenic emissions for 3rd quarter of 2001 2001CAIR_bg_4_072104.zip ================================= b3gts_l.20011001.92.rpo_grid2.01ac_01ac.ncf: gridded, hourly, model-species biogenic emissions for 4th quarter of 2001 ############################################################################## ############################################################################## 2001 Anthropogenic Emissions are contained in 4 zip files with the following SMOKE inventory ASCII files: 2001_2001v2CAP_ida_nonpoint.zip =============================== inventory/01i/afdust: arinv_afdust_xpf_24feb2006_ida.txt: Stationary area fugitive dust from 2001 NEI. This removes 9,165 tpy of NOx and 68,677 tpy of SO2 from Calcasieu Parrish, Louisiana. CEM unit 4 was already correctly matched to NEI unit 07.
