Last update: 11 Oct 2021 This package contains SMOKE inputs - specifically, inventories and ancillary files - relevant to the 2018 emissions modeling platform and the 2018gc_cb6_18j emissions case. Scripts for running SMOKE are not part of this package at this time. Some of the files referenced in this README, in particular the SMOKE-MOVES emission factor tables, or inputs specific to HAP-CAP modeling, may not be available at this time. == Inventory files == Inventories for the 2018gc case are included in the following files: 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_CEMs_08oct2021.zip - Hourly CEMs emissions for the ptegu sector. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_CMV_C1C2_12US1_07oct2021.zip - Annual and hourly inventories for the cmv_c1c2 sector, 12US1 domain. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_CMV_C3_12US1_07oct2021.zip - Annual and hourly inventories for the cmv_c3 sector, 12US1 domain. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_fires_08oct2021.zip - Annual and daily inventories for the ptagfire, ptfire-rx, ptfire-wild, and ptfire_othna sectors. In this platform, prescribed fires (ptfire-rx) and wildfires (ptfire-wild) in the US are processed in separate sectors, 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_nonpoint_08oct2021.zip - Annual inventories for the afdust, livestock, nonpt, np_oilgas, rail, rwc, vcp, and fertilizer sectors. In this platform, the former ag sector has been split into livestock and fertilizer. Fertilizer sector emissions have not been processed through SMOKE, since CMAQ was run with the bidirectional NH3 option. The fertilizer emissions in this package were generated from CMAQ output. The fertilizer inventory is also a monthly inventory, unlike the other sectors in this particular .zip which are annual. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_nonroad_08oct2021.zip - Monthly inventories for the nonroad sector. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_onroad_activity_08oct2021.zip - Monthly and annual activity data for running SMOKE-MOVES for the onroad and onroad_ca_adj sectors. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_oth_08oct2021.zip - Monthly and annual inventories for all Canada and Mexico sectors except CMV and fires. 2018emissions/2018gc_inventory_point_08oct2021.zip - Annual inventories for the airports, ptnonipm, pt_oilgas, and ptegy sectors. 2018emissions/2018gc_onroad_SMOKE-MOVES_emissions_FF10_fullHAP_29sep2021.zip - Monthly onroad inventory generated from SMOKE-MOVES output. "Full HAP" indicates that this FF10 contains additional pollutants needed for CMAQ multipollutant (toxics, or HAP-CAP) modeling. Two sets of SMOKE-MOVES emission factor tables are available: one for regular CMAQ modeling (2018emissions/moves_eftables/), and one for multipollutant / HAP-CAP modeling (2018emissions/moves_eftables_hapcap/). == Ancillary files == Ancillary files for the 2018gc case are included in the following files: ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_beis_11oct2021.zip ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_gridding_11oct2021.zip ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_onroad_11oct2021.zip ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_other_11oct2021.zip ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_speciation_11oct2021.zip ancillary_data/ge_dat_for_2018gc_temporal_11oct2021.zip Each of the ancillary_data zips includes one or more READMEs, one in each ge_dat directory, which outlines the SMOKE inputs included in each ge_dat directory, and which sectors use each SMOKE input. These packages include speciation-related inputs which support both standard AQ modeling and HAP-CAP modeling. Standard and HAP-CAP modeling use different GSPROs, INVTABLEs, and (for SMOKE-MOVES) MEPROCs; all other SMOKE inputs are the same. The GSPROs, INVTABLEs, and MEPROCs for HAP-CAP versus standard processing will be unzipped to separate directories within ge_dat/speciation and ge_dat/onroad. For more information regarding the GSPROs, INVTABLEs, and MEPROCs, consult the READMEs within the speciation and onroad ge_dat zips. Spatial surrogates for the US and Canada/Mexico, respectively, are included in these zips: spatial_surrogates/CONUS12_2017NEI_surrogates_04mar2021.zip spatial_surrogates/CONUS12_2015CAN_2010MEX_surrogates_03dec2018.zip
