Steps for creating STORET 2.0 Database.

If these are not true, edit the scripts accordingly after copying them to your local drive.  References here to c:\ drive should be substituted for the appropriate local drive.  Other changes in drive, Oracle homes, registry entries, and other environmental specific parameters may need to be modified in these instructions and associated software.

If needed, the administrative user=system, password=sto2et, host=storet.


1) If not already installed, install the Oracle9i Rel.2 software into c:\oracle\ora92.
2) Copy STORET directory including its subfolders and files to c:\drive.  This directory is located in DBA\V20Database directory.
3) Run c:\storet\storet-x\sto2\oraentry.reg
4) For Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems, run c:\storet\storet-x\sto2\makedbnt.bat
5) Edit your c:\oracle\ora92\network\admin\listener.ora.  Stop and start the listener.  A sample listener.ora file is provided in c:\storet\storet-x\sto2 directory.
6) Edit your c:\oracle\ora92\network\admin\tnsnames.ora and client tnsnames.ora files.  A sample tnsnames.ora file is provided in c:\storet\storet-x\sto2 directory.
7) Create shortcuts for startup_sto2.bat and shutdown_sto2.bat to appropriate locations.  These files are located in c:\oracle\ora92\admin\sto2 directory.
8) Run c:\storet\storet-x\sto2\stor20db.reg
