All available data sets were downloaded from the US Fish and Wildlife websites. For unavailable data, the individual regions were contacted. If data was still unavailable, then nationalatlas.gov website was used and those boundaries were adjusted to fit inside the more accurate FWS NWR boundaries where necessary. The state of Montana wilderness areas were obtained from their website since those boundaries were more accurate than the nationalatlas.gov wilderness boundaries.
