There are 4 sets of emissions data described here in support of the Final PM NAAQS and Ozone NAAQS Proposal. We also include the SMOKE V2.2 ancillary input files used to process all of these emissions. For each subdirectory, refer to the corresponding readme files for a detailed description of the associated Zipped files and their content 2001emis/readme_2001emis.txt: Contains all base year anthropogenic and biogenic emissions used for "model evaluation" and "regulatory modeling. Most of these emissions are year 2001; however, some emissions are not, for example: Residential Wood Combustion (2002), Canadian (2000), and Mexico (1999). Biogenic emissions used for all years and scenarios are only provided here. 2015emis/readme_2015emis.txt: Contains all 2015-base (no PM NAAQS control scenarios) emissions that are different from 2001. Emissions unchanged from 2001 are not provided here. SMOKE PROJECTION and CONTROL packets used to create U.S. 2015 point and non- point files from 2001 are provided here. These emissions are referred to as "2015bk" or '2015 BASE'. 2020emis/readme_2020emis.txt: Contains all 2020-base (no PM NAAQS or O3 NAAQS control scenarios) emissions that are different from 2001. Emissions unchanged from 2001 are not provided here. SMOKE PROJECTION and CONTROL packets used to create U.S. 2020 point and non-point files from 2001 are provided here. These emissions are referred to as "2020bk" or '2020 BASE'. 2020emis_O3NAAQS_proposal/readme_2020emis_O3NAAQS_proposal.txt: This is the Final PM NAAQS control scenario, and is the BASE inventory for the O3 NAAQS Proposal. These emissions are referred to as the "2020bk_15_35" because they are the 2020bk (BASE) with PM NAAQS 15/35 controls applied, where 15 is the annual PM2.5 standard and 35 is the daily PM2.5 standard that these controls seek to achieve. This readme also describes the SMOKE CONTROL packets used to create these 2020bk_15_35 emissions from the 2020bk (BASE) for point and nonpoint U.S. emissions. In most cases, 15/65 control packets (provided)are applied first, followed by the 15/35 control packets. ancillary_smoke/readme_ancilary_smoke.txt: This contains the SMOKE ancillary files used to process the 5 emission scenarios provided: 2001 "model evaluation", 2001 "regulatory", 2015bk "BASE", 2020bk "BASE", and 2020bk_15_35 "15/35 scenario"/"Final PM NAAQS"/ "O3 NAAQS BASE". SMOKE PROJECTION and CONTROL (GCNTL) packets are provided in the future year directories that they CREATE. For example, the GCNTL file used to create 2015bk (BASE) from 2001 "regulatory" emissions is located in the 2015emis Zip files.
