This folder contains 2016v1 platform premerged emissions (outputs from SMOKE) that were updated since the October, 2019 release. The updates include: - airports: in June, 2020 it was discovered that the 2017 NEI airport emissions were overestimated, and the 2016v1 airport emissions were based on 2017 NEI emissions. - CMV: in December, 2019, it was discovered that emissions from hoteling (stationary) ships were being concentrated into a single hour instead of being spread across the period of hoteling. In addition, a day of week pattern was discovered in some areas. Because the 2016 emissions were based on 2017 NEI activity data, a remapping of 2016 days to 2017 days that were the same day of the week was implemented. The CMV inventories are in their respective directories: ftp://newftp.epa.gov/air/emismod/2016/v1/2016emissions/ ftp://newftp.epa.gov/air/emismod/2016/v1/2023emissions/ ftp://newftp.epa.gov/air/emismod/2016/v1/2028emissions/ The outputs from SMOKE (aka premerged) CMV emissions are posted in ftp://newftp.epa.gov/air/emismod/2016/v1/postv1_updates/cmv_c1c2_premerged/ ftp://newftp.epa.gov/air/emismod/2016/v1/postv1_updates/cmv_c3_premerged/ - ptegu_2016: in July, 2020 an issue with how SMOKE treated cases when multiple CEMS units were mapped to the same NEI unit in the base year. Some CEMS data were dropped in this situation. The inventory addressing this issue is provided here along with premerged SMOKE outputs. - ptegu_2023_2028: a new run of IPM was completed in January 2020 and the updated inventories and emissions output from SMOKE are posted here under ptegu_2023_2028.
