                            - EXAMPLE1 -
                           Station Storage

  Last week you established your agency code and reference tables
  by phoning STORET user assistance in Washington, D.C. (800)
  424-9067. You now know that you belong to the agency 11TRAIN and
  have the unlocking keyword 'CHOOCHOO'. The update cycle for the
  agency storage transactions has been completed and you must store
  the station location information so that the sample data can be
  entered the following week. The excerpt from the field data sheet
  below is what you must work with to create the station storage
  job.

                RIO HONDO MONITORING STUDY
                        SURVEY 3

    Project Head: O. Hansen     (202) 382 - 7220

    Purpose: Biological monitoring of sewage treatment outfall on
              Rio Hondo. The following data is ficticious and
              should not be used for anything other than BIOS
              user training.

    Station: HON8                         Lat:   36 35 45.0
                                         Long:  105 27 20.0

    Water Depth: 3 feet
    Sample Note: Samples collected 300 yards below sewage
                  treatment plant in Taos county.

                                                         Jan. 25, 1989

  SOLUTION: The first step in station storage (sampling site
             location data) is to make sure that the update
             cycle for the agency storage transactions was completed.
             This takes one week and no station location information can
             be stored until this update is complete. Similarly no
             sample data can be entered for a station until the station
             storage update was complete. This also takes a week (see
             Examples 2 and 3 for data entry). Requests for agency
             storage should be directed to STORET user assistance at EPA
             Headquarters in Washington, D.C. (800) 424 9067.

             The next step is to create a file with the station location
             information. For the station described above the user has
             to look up some of the values for the keywords below.

  KEYWORD

  FORMAT=STATIONS,
  A=11TRAIN,
  UK=CHOOCHOO,

   You can now submit the job using the TSO command %STORE.
